Teacher Qualifications
Teaching children is a very challenging and demanding job. In order for a teacher to be deemed professionally competent to be able to cope with all aspects of educating children, they have to undergo many years of training. A recognised professional teaching qualification is awarded after many years of studying, a series of examinations, practical work and work experience.

Bluewater Teacher Policy
A teacher may not teach in a primary or secondary school in England or Wales with a TEFL qualification. Furthermore they may not teach in Thailand in an International accredited school with a TEFL qualification (they may only teach English).
Bluewater only employs fully qualified teachers in accordance with the requirements for International school accreditation in Thailand and the General Council for Teaching of England and Wales.
TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language)
The TEFL qualification is primarily aimed at qualifying individuals to teach ENGLISH to both adults and children as a FOREIGN language. It is not aimed at qualifying individuals to teach children in a full-time academic role. The course usually takes one month (4 weeks) of studying and previous academic qualification requirements vary according to the provider.
