Key Stage 1 Class (5 to 7 years old)

Curriculum
Years 1 and 2
Our curriculum is based on the National Curriculum of England and Wales. We focus on a series of achievements and objectives, around which our theme and activities are structured. All subjects in the Key Stage 1 curriculum are covered at this level, ie. Science, Geography, History, PHSE, Social Science, Physical Education, ICT and Modern Foreign Languages.
Our numeracy programme is based on the Abacus Curriculum and our literacy is based on The Oxford Reading Tree.
MIDDLE SCHOOL
5 to 9 years old - Key Stage 1 & the first two years of Key Stage 2
Through these theme-based programs, we aim to develop children's self-confidence, self-esteem, language skills, social interaction, discipline, intellectual growth, questioning and logic as well as physical movements. Alongside the British Curriculum great emphasis is also placed on Thai culture and ethics.
Pupils in Y1-Y4 may go home at 3.00 p.m. after school finishes or elect to join after school sports. If collecting your child at 3.00 pm please collect them from the classrooms.
Year 1-4 sports are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Fee paying extra-curricular activities may be made available on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays depending on demand and the availability of volunteers and/or professionals. The cost of the After School Extra-curricular activities varies with each activity provider.
Languages and RE follow their own syllabuses. The broad curriculum continues to be delivered with generous allocations of time to PE, Music, Art/DT and Drama.
Key Stage 2 Classes (7 to 9 years old)

Curriculum
Years 3 to 4
In Years 3 to 4 the syllabus content and skills taught in Mathematics, English, ICT, Science, History and Geography are broadly in line with the National Curriculum of England and Wales. The National Literacy and Numeracy Strategies are key resources.
Children should be collected from the classrooms, Canteen or adjacent areas at 4.00 p.m. They will be dismissed by their activity teacher.
A form will be sent detailing the extra-curricular activities available and associated fees. This should be returned to the class teacher as soon as possible.
Please note:
All Activities start in the second full week of Term 1 and the first week of the remaining terms. Parents are encouraged to offer an activity to our children.
